Projection mapping is a difficult endeavor. There’s no being coy about your process or hiding behind an esoteric concept; even mastering the basics requires serious know-how.

That’s at least the gist of Dane Luttik’s mini documentary, Augmented Reality: Projection Mapping.

The artform couples software with structures (preexisting or custom built) by way of video projection, producing gorgeous works of art. It’s clear that the artists Luttik interviews have not only a deep understanding of the required technology, but also the creative sensibility to bring that tech to life.
